A method of construction to support a small hexagon. Dimension to suit.
Notes: To miter corners, cut edges @ 30 degrees. Use 1/8" plywood splines. Front and back frames are identical. Reinforce with two 3/8" hardwood dowels at each joint. Screw top and bottom to sides. Use solid overlay front door on European concealed hinges. Leave back open for running tubing and electrical cords. What else? If you can, try applying exotic wood veneer so that it looks good!
Disclaimer: If you disagree if this can support the weight, go out and buy one at your lfs. It's much easier, don't you think?
